International travellers have voted Sydney as the world’s friendliest city for 2015, in Conde Nast Traveller’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
“Such friendly people,” enthused one reader, “so much so that after we met an Australian woman on our flight there, she offered to pick us up at our hotel and spent a whole day showing us her favorite parts of the city.” Sydney’s highlights for visitors were tours of the harbour and the Harbour Bridge climb.
The city tied last year as the fifth friendliest city in the world, when Melbourne was ranked number 1. Dublin, Queenstown, Krakow and Bruges also comprised the top five friendliest cities. Luckily for Australia there weren’t any Australian cities mentioned in the world’s unfriendliest city for 2015.
