The Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) supplements the workforce strategies of States, Territories and regions, to support employers in designated areas and help them adjust to changing economic conditions. This Agreement provides flexibility to such employers based on their specific economic and labour market conditions.

DAMA is a two-tier framework:
- Deed of Agreement (Head Agreement) between the Australian Government and the defined regional area’s representative;
- Individual labour agreements with employers operating in designated areas.
DAMA South Australia, DAMA Victoria & DAMA Northern Territory
Currently, there are 13 Head Agreements in place across defined regions of
- Northern Territory
- The Goldfields (WA)
- Great South Coast (VIC)
- Goulburn Valley (VIC)
- Adelaide City and Regional South Australia
- Orana (NSW)
- Far North Queensland (QLD) Townsville (QLD)
- East Kimberley (WA)
- Pilbara (WA)
- South West (WA)
- Western Australia (State-wide)

Once executed, individual DAMAs are generally in effect for five years and allows your clients to bring overseas skilled and semi-skilled workers to work for them.
