The Government will increase the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold from the current rate of $53,900 to $70,000 from 1 July 2023 to ensure a better targeted skilled migration system.
The Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) has been increased from $53,900 to $70,000. Therefore, from 1 July 2023, the annual market salary rate for the nominated occupation and the guaranteed annual earnings the nominator will pay to the worker must be at least $70,000.
However, this change will not affect existing visa holders and approved nominations lodged before 1 July 2023.
