A new Migration (Specification of Class of Persons) Instrument 2025 is coming into effect on 1 October 2025, replacing the previous provisions while keeping the content largely unchanged.
- This instrument remakes the sunsetting IMMI 15/026 relating to paragraphs 050.613A(1)(b) and 051.611A(1)(c) of Schedule 2.
- It ensures continuity in the specification of classes of persons under the Migration Regulations, without introducing significant changes.
- It confirms the specified class of persons eligible under the Bridging E visa (Class WE) [sc050 or sc051] under section 195A of the Act.
- The instrument also formally repeals the earlier Specification of Classes of Persons 2015 under Schedule 1, replacing it with this updated version.
