A well-drafted Position Description is one of the key requirements not just from the Department of Home Affairs for the nomination applications, but also an important document that serves direction for the nominee and anyone taking up the position. It is a document required even before you look for a new hire.
Position Descriptions also ensure that the applicants/ nominees understand their roles and responsibilities and what is expected of them. They should reflect the actual role and the tasks of the occupation and should not be vaguely written.
Position Descriptions will include the job title, the ANZSCO number, nature or summary of the job, scope of the position, main duties and tasks, the responsibilities, general accountability and working relationships.
